The centerpiece of this weeks message is President Elect Obama's goal for the creation of 2.5 million jobs by 2011. Obama said, "I have already directed my economic team to come up with an Economic Recovery Plan that will mean 2.5 million more jobs by January of 2011 a plan big enough to meet the challenges we face that I intend to sign soon after taking office."
Obama should take a lesson from President, Bill Clinton, who promised the creation of 100,000 new police jobs. Sure sounded good on paper. One problem. There never were 100,000 new police hitting the streets. We predict Obama will waffle on this promise long before 1/2011.
