Obama on Cuba

The island country of Cuba is know for their fine cigars. It’s also been under the thumb of a communist dictator for almost half of a century. Which is why American has had an embargo against Cuba since the early Sixties. Obama wanted to end the embargo, then said he’d keep it, then said he’d end it, before he said he’d keep it.

January, 2004

Obama announced the time was now “to end the embargo with Cuba” primarily because it had “utterly failed in the effort to overthrow Castro.”

Sorry, the Cuban mafia has been calling shots with no regard to free trade.

The embargo is not in the US best interest...only in the interest of some rich guys in Miami.
